One of our core values is developing connections between students and the outside world in ways that are relevant and purposeful. Our Core Connections programs takes kids out of the classroom and allows them to pursue their passions while being exposed to a diverse blend of people, skills and experience. Local businesses benefit and community ties are strengthened as a result.
It’s fun working with people that come in every day. You make some friends and learn how to work. – Daniel Martin, Age 12 , intern at Yelm Co-op
Through Core Connections, PRS students:
- Support local businesses while learning relevant, real-world skills
- Assist their community through volunteer projects and service learning
- Empower international and environmental groups in creating solutions to global challenges
If you are interested in being a mentor or allowing a student to volunteer at your business, please visit our contact our office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 360.894.0609.
Need a hand? Our students are ready to intern with local businesses. They gain job skills and practical experience; you gain the opportunity to develop a future entrepreneur and act as a mentor.
Could your service organization use a volunteer? From pet shelters and senior centers to food banks and co-ops, non-profit organizations can call on our students to achieve their mission.
PRS students learn to be part of the solution by addressing global and environmental issues through organizations that are creating positive change.
